Frye has future in Portland

Excerpt from Wendell Maxey’s Hoopsworld.com article:

Frye (L)It’s not hard to find Channing Frye in Portland these days. Look inside the Blazers practice facility on any given day or night and chances are one of the newest members of the Blazers is putting work in.Frye is a gym rat to the fullest, so much that General Manager Kevin Pritchard didn’t hesitate when asked if he’s already given Channing a copy of the key to the practice facility.

“Well if he wants one. But he doesn’t need a key. We have one of those biometric sensors.”

Just days ago, the 6′11 third year forward, who moonlights at center, was introduced to the local media in Portland. But ever since arriving in town after a draft night trade for NBA All-Star worthy Zach Randolph and backcourt vagabonds Dan Dickau and Fred Jones, Frye has made himself at home both on and off the court. Still, you have to believe the trade was hurtful to Frye in some ways.
