Oregonian - Portland police detectives are investigating a report of a fight over the weekend at a bar where Trail Blazer Darius Miles was present.
Police said there was "some type of disturbance" Saturday night at the City Sportsbar and Restaurant, 424 S.W. Fourth Ave. On Sunday, police got a call from a man who had gone to an area hospital for treatment of a broken limb. Elijah L. Warren told authorities he was injured during the fight.
Portland Police Bureau spokesman Sgt. Brian Schmautz would not disclose the name of the alleged attacker, saying it could compromise the police investigation. He said a number of people took part in the disturbance.
"The victim... says Darius Miles was definitely there," Schmautz said.
Tim Pearce, owner of the restaurant, said he was not at the bar during the altercation but he said he's spoken with his management staff. He said Miles was in the establishment at the time but did not take part in the scuffle. |
He should be doing rehab and trying to get in shape instead of getting in trouble. _________________

KGW.com - A Portland man claimed Trail Blazer Darius Miles threw a bottle during a bar room brawl last weekend, sparking a criminal investigation.
But so far, only one person has come forward reporting the incident and police were never called to the scene.
An attorney for 23-year old Eilijah Warren said Warren was inside The City sports bar in downtown Portland Saturday night.
Warren claimed Miles was also in the club, when a large fight broke out. During the scuffle, Warren said Miles jumped over the bar, grabbed a bottle of alcohol and threw it at someone. Warren suffered a fractured leg in the fight, his attorney said.
Miles was not available for comment and no charges have been filed in the case.
”We are looking into it, and this is important to us, and we are trying to find out all the facts and keep moving forward," Blazers’ General Manager Kevin Pritchard said.
Portland Police assigned a detective to look into the allegations and speak with any additional witnesses who may come forward. |

Never.... until he gets released, cut/buy out, or traded. He probably didn't do anything wrong.. he was maybe in the wrong place at the wrong time but his reputation will always hunt him. _________________
