Front Page Posting Instructions

I'm going to post a step by step tutorial with pictures. I'm going to post thumbnails of the pictures so the thread doesn't get stretch out.... just click on the picture to see it's original size.

1. If you don't have an account for the homepage but would like to contribute to the site you will need an account. Register for an account and use the same screen name you use on the forum.

2. After you log in into your account you should see this menu. Select "Profile" and make sure you check the "use the visual editor when writing." After you check "use the visual editor when writing" click on update profile.

Why am I not able to save and later edit posts? do you have to do them in one shot?

kinda weird.... but I think if you click save it posts your blog and then gives you the ability to go back and edit it.

it says I can't edit my posts...even the drafts. I have the drafts up there but I can't edit them

I've only posted a few blogs I've written myself and had some trouble with the first one.

But what happens with your draft is kinda weird, and I thought maybe I had lost the first one...and then it magically appeared.

I believe there are a couple of options after you are done writing. save as draft, publish... and then a third option that effectively posts what you have written but allows you to edit it, and I don't recall what that choice was labeled.

hope that makes sense.

yeah, i've chosen save, save as draft....both have been inaccessible.

the publish button works. i'll try to post casual thoughts, etc. the more original content, the better.

It appears the only option that works is publish.

Publish without saving or editing appears to be the only way I can get it to work.

So anything I tried to save in a draft I have lost, because it won't let me access it or view it.

Tried to post a video and that didn't work either. I think the secret may lie in uploading the content into wordpress first and then using the uploaded images for your post.

Anybody else have a better clue on how this works or how Eric and I can get the blogs we wrote published feel free to chime in.
