Who will rise into the lottery and who will fall out of the lottery? There is always one or two players that many pre-draft sites project as lottery picks but end up falling out of the lottery due to major discoveries of a player. Most of the reasons why a player falls out of the lottery is because a team wants to pick a player that can contribute their rookie season instead of waiting 2-3 years

Majority of the teams in the lottery are looking for immediate help instead of waiting for a year or two for a player to be a major contributor. Players like Alexander, Arthur and even Speights may have impact on players like Randolph, Westbrook, Jordan and Greene being drafted in the lottery.
