There are reports that the Portland Trail Blazers “heavily pursued” Toronto Raptors point guard Jose Calderon, prior to the trade deadline on Feb. 21, but were obviously rebuffed.
Portland management apparently is not thrilled with its point-guard situation and apparently will try to sign Calderon, a restricted free agent, in the off-season, but Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo has made it known that he will match any offer for Calderon.
The Spanish national team standout has said that he wishes to remain in Toronto and the Raptors obviously want to keep Calderon as an insurance policy with T.J. Ford’s precarious injury situation.

appears as: Blazers will try to acquire Calderon in offseason
The Blazers are one summer too late, as Calderon probably has become the starter for the Raptors and more than likely will expect some assurance from the Raptors before re-signing with them.
Having Calderon starting the playoff games and playing PG in the crucial moments in the 4th quarter while TJ Ford sat watching.
Was a good indication it will be TJ Ford the Blazer should be looking at trading for.
