After a tough four game road trip the Trailblazers return home the the Rose Garden for a Christmas day game with the Denver Nuggets. We've seen the Nuggets twice this year. Once in preseason, and in the second game of the regular season. Last time, on Oct 29, the Nuggets left town with a victory over the Blazers. We have the highlights from that game HERE, in the archives.

Blazers win, I like how they have been playing the last four or five games now if they can keep up the "D" we may see good things to come.

Last two times that I picked the opposing team, we came through with huge wins. Therefore, I pick the Nuggets.

I was thinking about the matchups in this game...

At Center, I feel Howard and Nene are a wash... Especially if we get good minutes from Pendegraph.

At Small Forward...Yeah, advantage Denver... Maybe Cunningham can play with the greenlight to wear him down a bit with 6 fouls to give? Wear him down by postung Cunningham in positions where he is Bodying with Melo? I don't mean dirty play. Just lots of leaning and Juxting for position. One of the most effective Defensive strategies against a great offensive player is to make him Play tons of defense.

At SG... I am assuming Bayless starts and Roy misses this game. Bayless made Tony Parker look like a slow old NBA guard. I think he will do the same to either Billups or Carter. I can see either defending him as he is the point of attack

At PG... Advantage Denver... Miller just is not moving well, but playing admirably.

The real key IMO...Aldridge vs Martin...Rebounding... Here is what could cover our disadvantage as SF. Aldridge can do it, but will he? Aldridge needs to make this game about him being our advatage and setting up to score off of Bayless aggresiveness

I think we can take this one

Drop Steve Blakes minutes and watch him hit those outside shots late in the Game!

6 Minutes left and a 8 Point Lead. Roy, Bayless and Blake are the guards...

I'd enter Webster for defense/rebounding for Blake at this point. Stil gives an outside threat
